4 QB’s in a row...not surprised. Probably Mac. I think the 49ers are putting a smokescreen up and they are all in on Fields but we will see.

Before this year I wouldn’t have thought NE would trade up but what they have done this offseason I have a different outlook on them. I could see them trading up to get Mac Jones at 4

I could see them trading for Teddy to back up/compete with Cam. Teddy seems like a more stable option than Cam for that team.

Denver picks at #9 I would think some excellent players would still be available if Atlanta trades back with the Broncos. Broncos have tried going with development type QBs like Osweiler, Lynch, Siemian and they have try journeyman QBs like Keenum and Joe Flacco. So I could see them taking the plunge and trading up if they really like one of the Qbs on the board still.

The Denver Broncos attending a certain prospect’s pro day does not guarantee the team plans to draft that player. But the team’s pro day schedule might provide some clues about Denver’s positional draft targets.

For example, general manager George Paton has attended the pro days of Zach Wilson, Justin Fields and Trey Lance (and he sent the team’s top scout to Mac Jones‘ pro day). That’s probably a clear sign that quarterback is on the team’s list of potential draft targets.

@Shanemansj13 your aware how hard it is to find a franchise QB being a Browns fan. Don't you think the Broncos are sick of whiffing at QB and would/should consider making a move for a QB more in the franchise mold? I do.

Depends on who Atlanta might be targeting if they trade down. Going to #9 would likely cost them Pitts, Chase and Sewell. Detroit at #7could be another target spot to trade up for the 5th QB. I'm guessing Pitts and Chase go 5/6. Of course, Atlanta could always decide to stick and take Lance to develop behind Ryan.

I’m guessing Jones go to the 49ers and Field will be the next QB off the board.

It seems that way, but its hard to wrap my head around trading up to #3 for Mac Jones. The names I've seen as comparisons are guys like Foles and Cousins and potential back-up quality level all the way up to Burrow-lite. However, they have been SO attached to Mac that it seems like a smoke screen.

The fields hate is baffling.

what makes trey lance better than fields?
No clue man. He is far from the perfect prospect but most of these top QB’s could use development. They are questioning his work ethic too, could all be a smokescreen

Yep someone has to take shade and its him. But i still would love to hear what makes lance better than fields... other than that guy that thinks hes michael vick. Starts all those threads and only “talks about guys” with 1-2 ppl

It’s just a classic Bill move to pull all the strings together to get Fields at 4

Cowturd said he heard that Shanahan wants Mac Jones but Lynch doesn’t. If true, I’d imagine the GM is going to get what he wants.

That's not how the power structure works in SF. Lynch is just there to facilitate Shanny's wishes

Well then it could be Mac to SF. Hard to believe they traded up for Mac but a lot of QB’s could thrive in SF when they are healthy it’s just about getting the guy that is right for the system and a high ceiling

That's an interesting one.

But, if the 49ers take Mac.....he ain't sitting for a year or 2.....not when you take a player that high.....they then trade Jimmy G back to NE.

Could happen, not sure if they'll get their asking price of a 1st from the Pats though.

If there was a Vegas bet for that...I’d put money on it no matter the odds

SF gets the QB they want in Mac, they may have to settle for less....

Sure. I don't think anyone is going to offer a first, especially a 2021 first.

This will be interesting. Not a lot of trade partners for Jimmy G. at this point, besides the Pats I don't see another team being interested this season. 49ers have 18 million in cap space so they can afford to keep Jimmy G., however the cap hit is 26.5 million and at that cost they almost have to start Jimmy G. over the rookie, but they spent a lot to acquire the rookie and will want to take advantage of having a rookie QB starting for peanuts and being able to sign FAs with the savings. A 3rd and a 5th might be more then a team would want to give for a second hand injury prone QB pulling down 26.5 million.
