Might be, but let's remember these "theories" are nothing but guesses. These guys treat draft intel like they are the CIA.I dunno, perhaps. But some of the theories floated in that redskins board are insane.

You trade out IF you like a QB a lot more than the one you have because even if he's JJ Watt you have a far better chance to win with a stud QB than DE.
It sounds like they were on the Tua train but are freaked out by the medical issues. This leads me to believe we might see something silly like some team coming up to #32 because Tua drops all the way to the bottom of the round due to medical concerns. Or #2 QB. Not sure Tua has much of a middle ground.
My apologies. Not sure why I was thinking this way. agree no reason to trade out (unless completely overwhelmed and maybe only 2-3 spots). For some reason was answering why you'd take a QB, which was not the question.Yeah I get that, but why would the Redskins, specifically do that? If you like one of the QB's just take the one leftover.

But the love hype isn't just one source. It's everywhere.as I think we've discussed, ESPN could get fans to believe whatever they wanted......if they wanted fans to hype, say, Jalen Hurts as a 1st rounder fans would buy in.
couple highlight videos and a Kiper mock would get it done.

WAS...I would trade out if MIA was looking to move up...Idk how the values add up, but 5,18,39 for #2 is enough for me to pull the trigger.
Why? They have multiple pass rushers, but lacking at LT, DT, LB, and now probably TE with Jordan Reed's concussion issues. Trent Williams says he wants to play in WAS now that they have a new HC, but that still 3 other positions they need to upgrade the starter. As it stands right now...they don't have the great draft position (#2, 66, 98, 130, 194, 207).
Now...if Rivera is not sold on Haskins...and they will use the pick on a QB, maybe I keep it, but I would still be tempted to trade to 5...I'm not the biggest Tua guy, so if MIA is, I would still make that trade, and take Herbert at 5.
WAS needs a 2nd rd pick badly...getting an extra 1st too, I would do it.
Thats a nutty amount of draft stock to move up 3 spots.WAS...I would trade out if MIA was looking to move up...Idk how the values add up, but 5,18,39 for #2 is enough for me to pull the trigger.

I think the trade value chart would apply if people think Tua is the next Luck or Elway. It's a little nutty, according to the chart I saw...+400 points over the value of the #2 pick.
Oh I get it. And same would be true if they got the ball rolling on Hurts in round 1.But the love hype isn't just one source. It's everywhere.
If they were high on him not likely they let anyone know. Here is the other spin on this (Miami Side)
The media called last year " suck for Tua" about the Fins but you haven't heard one Fin's spokes person bring up the kids name!
I don't think Miami is as high on the kid as everyone else in the world thinks they are !
If it's for a QB I could see it.It's a little nutty, according to the chart I saw...+400 points over the value of the #2 pick.

If people see an injury prone 6 foot QB with a low throwing release and an average arm who had 2 top 15 picks as WRs and his blindside protected by another top 15 pick then that might change the equation.
If it's for a QB I could see it.
Right. Right. Yeah there's just a lot of ppl propping up jordon love based on 2018 not 2019Oh I get it. And same would be true if they got the ball rolling on Hurts in round 1.
Someone is going to take a roll of the dice with Jalen Hurts and it’s going to be the steal of the draft!
