They need more talent up front, we have a boatload of defensemen. It will be interesting to see both Couturier and Nugent-Hopkins in Buffalo at the WJHC tourney.

Well Dash at least the Flames got blown out by a credible hockey team. The Leafs just sunk to a new low tonight, getting owned at home by team full of rookies. The best for us is yet to come this summer watching Boston draft another top 3 player.

I can't remember the last time the Islanders scored 5 goals in a game. Of course Dipietro gave up 6. The Isles are a lock for a top 3 pick.

It's not the number of points, it's the number of teams they need to leapfrog to get into the playoff mix. Even if the Flames were to win five straight games (and they've shown no sign of even coming close to that this season), with the number of three point games out there, they'd be lucky to maybe gain two spots (and that's with a lot of help).

I'll try to find the link, but if you're out of the playoff picture on American Thanksgiving, you have a 23% chance of making the playoffs.
