Came here to post that. So many good memories around (and under) that pier.

I just hope that Thrashers is okay.

Just because nothing major happens (hopefully) I do not think the precautions taken are necessarily over reactions. Within reason, its better to be safe than sorry and we have seen a lot of officials raked over the coals in recent years for not being prepared for emergency events.

Yep. While I bitched about it at the time and talked how ridiculous it was my company put me (and the family) up in a hotel so I could be near the data center for Isabel, seeing these pictures and accounts of damage when the storm is still five hours off makes me realize how smart that company was. It was a broadcasting company, not something silly like a razorblade factory. A lot of people needed it to stay up. Much the same now, I am sure.

My cousins emptied the beach house this weekend and my aunt is pretty much expecting it to be a total writeoff.

I know that ships are supposed to be much better off in open waters during these things, but holy smokes, you couldn't ay me to stay on one of those things during a big'un.

On a related note, yesterday while walking into the office, I saw a homeless woman blowing a homeless man right on the sidewalk in front of the ATM that's about 80 feet from the front entrance. The weird thing was another homeless person about 100 feet further away was blasting Garrison Keiler's Lake Wobegon stories on a boombox. The juxtaposition was strange to say the least.

Judiciary Square. There is a homeless shelter a few blocks away. There are frequently a few homeless people around, but they are generally pretty well behaved.

It was one of the more shocking things I've ever seen. It looked like someone was getting a hand job and I was like 'nah, can't be' and then down went the head right into the crotch. I looked away, felt a little ill, and quickly went inside.

To go to Wegmans in Landover or not to go to Wegmans. I have 5 bottles of wine but only two more beers and no liquor. The Feds need to decide whether or not I am going to work tomorrow.

The answer is yes, always go to Wegmans, even if you don't need anything. Wegmans is the greatest store EVAR!!!

E. Loco reporting in. The weather conditions in DC are deteriorating rapidly. It has gone from a light drizzle to full on rain. A gust on the way in to work gave me a slight chill. I'd like to thank the McDonald's near my house for staying open during this crisis. Some people need a Filet-O-Fish sometimes, even if you could lay off the damn tartar sauce a little.

The couple engaged in felatio yesterday was still outside the building in the same spot, but no sexual activity was seen... thankfully.

A shrub fell over from the wind. That's all for now. More soon.... E. Loco over and out.
