Yeah because Jordan and Kobe would be first round exits if the second best player they ran with was JR Smith

LEBRON had all his handpicked guys for the whole season and 3 rounds of the playoffs.

He acted as the defacto GM and put together another 3-headed superstar team.
They were the favorites to win it all before the season started.

He wasnt playing with this roster until the last 5 games.
It is slight revisionist history to suggest he carried a bad roster to the finals.

Who was Miami's 2nd best player in Lebrons second trip to the finals?
Who was Miami's 2nd best player in Lebrons fifth trip to the finals?
Hey, it's my turn. I want to do one.
Who was the Pirates second best player in Stargell's second trip to the World Series?
Who was the Pirates second best player in Clemente's second trip to the World Series?

the cavs for the first 85 games? Or the team in the finals? We are talking about finals, aren't we?

Both.. Sure Irving and Love weren't 100% but still

Don't forget his 4th trip. He was a Ray Alken shot away from being 1-5 with all that talent around him.

The point is he's a great player. But he's too in love with himself.

Really?!?

Because of all of Lebrons trips to the finals, only ONE of those teams didn't start the playoffs with a legitimate 2nd star player and that was in 2007.

Irving played one game and they lost

What's exactly your point? Are you really gonna tell me that he didn't just carry one of the worst rosters in the history of the NBA finals to a Game 6?

I'm ok with people hating the guy for his foot in the mouth disease, he makes me SMH also, but to deny his all time greatness on the court is just being a blind hater. We literally just watched the closest thing we may ever see to one against 5 in an NBA finals

Smart people know he enhanced his legacy by taking that shit show to 6 games

You want to choose to ignore that the Cavs roster minus Lebron last night would be the worst team in the NBA, that's fine

I'd rather realize there is a glaring difference between Lebron teams and Kobe and Jordan teams
2-4

He had 40 that game

I love the whole idea that Ray Allens 3 is all that mattered

Lebron was the reason it mattered

Without Irving, the Cavs don't make the finals. Don't go saying this is a one-man team that carried his team from round one to the finals.

injuries happen. you cant point to them.

its part of sports.

a QB once had the games best TE (and maybe player) on one leg for a loss.

they happen.

love didn't play past the celtics. Kyrie played 2 games in the last 10.

They still had a solid team and the injury excuse had better not be started (not saying you are but fans of the Cavs)

Exactly

If we saw anything, it's that the Cavs probably sweep GS with just one of those guys, never mind both

Ray's three was the reason they didn't lose. If it's a miss game over. Statistics are for losers.

That's just blatantly false

Kylie Irving was already on the roster

And they traded the #1 pick for Love, what superstar wouldn't do that?

This idea that only Lebron has say on the roster is a joke, all the megastars do

And what's the point anyway? Love and Irving didn't play

What NBA team loses clearly their 2nd and 3rd best players and go to 6 games in an NBA Finals?

I contend only a team with Lebron

Did anyone honestly believe they weren't getting swept when Irving grabbed his knee in game one?
