Silver lining: Chi Chi had a decent bounce back from the ass pummeling he took in his last start.

He had that one "iffy" inning, but really, overall, he deserved a better fate.

looks like Greinke got a run or 2 of support today, hoping he opts out of Dodger blue

If he does, he'll go to the highest bidder.

But he's worth some good bucks, no doubt about this.

Did y'all see that stat?

Elvis is hitting .416 in his last 6 games.

I love Darvish and all, don't get me wrong, but I would love if we added another front of the rotation guy, to go with him. Who knows how Derek will be when he gets back too

His bat is not what I have the biggest problem with, though he doesnt come up with the big hits like he used to early in his Ranger career. Its the boneheaded shit and the routine plays he boots that drive me nuts, but Im sure you agree and were just pointing out his good fortune with the stick lately

I've said this before, and have no concrete rationale for feeling this way, but I swear, I've got a sinking feeling in my stomach about Holland.

Don't know why I feel this way, but I've had this feeling for some time now and can't seem to shake it.

Ok here is the optimists viewpoint Ham playing son centerfield and DDJ back soon. 2 legit bats will mean a lot to this lineup esp Odor on way up. Plus pitching on its way. Think we can still potentially make some noise if we don't catch the injury bug. Martin is 4th OF for now. We can tolerate Wishy washy Elvis. Choo needs to be moved down for a bit. Sunshine and Rainbows. Self talk

You're right....I've been so disappointed in this guy for damn near two years now - exactly for the reasons you mentioned - that anything we can "remotely construe" as a positive from him is a semi-cause for celebration.

Take some Tums, we need him to be good, but I understand the anxiety. I felt that way about him coming back last year, so I hope he proves me wrong again, but for a longer stretch this time.

They just showed that frigging first inning play against Odor. Had it gone through, the whole game would have been different. I truly believe this.

Yes progress is good. I cant believe I am about to say this but I will anyway. I think his defense was better under Wash's tutelage.

Should they have scratched out a few early and given Hutch just a bit more trouble, it probably changes the whole game. RISP is a problem still too. Heart of the lineup didnt get it done w RISP

In fairness to Wash, his forte is working with INF. So you may be right.

But Elvis sucked last year too, lets not forget this.

And from watching the post game, seems maybe the Rangers don't want to being Hamilton back to play in cool/rainy Baltimore.
