I never cared for Mack. In the long run, Strong is going to help the Horns get back to their glory.

Many are cursing him with this OL news. Texas lost it's only senior OL last week. That was not Mack's fault, but recruiting only 2 OL 5 years ago is a major reason Texas has 0 depth

Strong is doing the right thing. It's like when the economy makes a self correction. It hurts for a little bit but things are better because of it. Question is, will your boosters and alumni give him the time he needs?

This is honestly the part that worries me. I understand that Mack's long tenure at Texas is more an exception rather than the rule nowadays, and I fear that the money will follow that trend.

Saban did the same thing, it's good to do and frees up tons of room for new recruits who aren't ate up.

Texas fans have always appreciated a good defense. If Strong puts a good to great defense on the field, he stays. If Mack hadn't allowed the defense to become a joke, he would still be the HC.

I think Texas has to stick with Strong regardless until they find someone better, and looking around the football landscape I don't see one. I think necessity forces Texas boosters and alums to be patient and Strong is successful. - He has a well proven system.


I have to admit, I'm a big Strong fan.

Chris was the worst waste of talent but not the worst QB by any measure. Shame he laid an egg on the big stage but he had to get there.
