Folks it 2-2. The offense is going to score more tonight for us. As long as Yu settles down our chances are great. Would really like to win tonight given we have Ogando on the mound tomorrow and Barfolo on the mound for the A's.

Yelling at beltre for doing what Wash told him to do is stupid.

I didn't see the yelling. That said maybe Beltre was supposed to do something different which is the reason why it ended the way it did.

Wasn't Martin supposed to bunt there?

If the call was a sac bunt, then its Martin fault not Beltre's

The bright side is Richards will be at or at least near 50 pitches just to get through 3.

It appeared that it was supposed to be a bunt.

Never said aces have to be perfect, but making the same mistake 3 times in 4 batters is just over the top

The Kalhoun HR is an example of an ace not being perfect, making the same pitch to Trout beyond stupid, and then again to Trumbo

If you can't figure out what I'm getting at from what I've said, you're hopeless

I understand what you are saying, but when you are in a funk, you tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. Darvish was trying to find a groove with a pitch he couldn't locate. I'll stop arguing now, but its not like this happens to Yu every single start. Here is two more examples- CC Sabathia got rocked in one of his recent starts (gave up a couple homers too), but that doesn't mean he is no longer an ace. He had a bad start, couldn't get into a rhythm, and ended up leaving early with the loss. But this doesn't make him an illegitimate ace. Adam Wainwright also didn't have his stuff in his last start and ended up losing, but that doesn't make him not an ace.

But getting caught originally wasn't his fault

No I know and agree, but I think you've got to at least force the issue and hope you beat it or they throw it away, stopping midway pretty much guarantees the out because you're not likely gonna get out of a rundown.
