Life is not complicated. No offense, no runs, no wins. Simple.

Hard to be the best that way. We have done better than could have been imagined.
If you would have told me we were going to win 90 games in spring training I would have definitely said I am all in for that.

I do wonder what a difference a healthy Degrom would
have made. That’s why resigning Monty is an absolute must. Who knows what Scherzer is going to give us next year. Degrom might not be available until August or later and is Eovaldi going to stay healthy all year
Have to believe that we re-signed Montgomery and with healthy Eovaldi and Scherzer and Dunning and Gray we start the season with a healthy rotation and we sign a real closer and 4 or 5 good relievers. Re-sign Garver, bring up Langford

Rangers hitters have twice seemed very determined not to give up on this game. First time was when they rallied to tie it at 3 and then had runners on 1st and 2nd and then Garver promptly hit into the double play. That was such a major, major deflating play. Because then the Astros turned right around and put up a 4-spot.

But then the Rangers hitters again seemed like they weren’t going to give up and tried to mount a comeback. First two runners reached base with 0 outs and a rally was looking likely. Then a double play and a line out just completely took the wind out of their sails.

I just don’t know if they have it in them for another disappointing comeback attempt. They seem defeated now.

Forfeiting a game that’s 7-3 in the 6th inning in the ALCS should be grounds for immediate dismissal.

It’s not 15-0. 4 runs in 4 innings isn’t impossible. But putting Will Smith in is just straight up quitting on the game. Might as well put Hedges in now.

It’s hard to believe that Wil Smith was our closer for a good portion of the year

That has to effect the players in a very negative way. Shameful.

Cant see how Smith was our closer for the first 3 months or so of the season. Not sure what Bochy had seen in him to determine he could close out games

Well, look at it this way, at the start of the season if you were told the Rangers would be tied 2-2 in the ALCS with a chance to go the the World Series I’m sure you guys would have signed up … It’s not over! But it is crunch time now …

Now it’s 9-3 in the 8th inning and we’re just going to burn up Martin Perez for fun, I guess? This makes a ton of sense.

If you sign a closer and 4 or 5 relievers, probably not going to be able to sign Garver. I would just putt Huff in his spot. He hit 256 with a 801 ops.

The moment they trotted Scherzer out there to start game 3 and he shit the bed, every ounce of momentum they had, left. It shut the fans down squashed morale from the first inning on yesterday they were negatively impacted and then this idiot manager the Rangers have can’t seem to get the F out of the teams way

Shhhh. Not so loud. The truth ruffles a few feathers around here. There are still a few posters here who think that WS rings from a decade ago make him an infallible awesome manager today.

I mean, how about that Will Smith guy? Am I right? Not every team has a guy who can come in and pour gasoline all over a small fire and turn it into a 4-alarm blaze that burns the place to the ground. He is amazing in that role for us, and our genius skipper knows to deploy him as often as he can.

Stratton was the only pitcher that didn’t suck tonight. That will be completely deflating for the Rangers the rest of the way and a huge mental boost for the Astros
