Well the first 2 games were fun. 12.2 innings here and they’ve scored 15 runs. That a 10.66 ERA
That’s expected when you pitch nothing but your worst pitchers. Scherzer hadn’t pitched in a very long time, and aside from him we’ve used Bradford, Will Smith, Heaney, Dunning, Stratton, and Perez.

First two games were primarily Montgomery, Eovaldi, and Leclerc. Makes a huge difference.

This is an absolute embarrassment. This team can’t keep the Astros from getting a shit load of runs every time they come here. You might as well say this is their home park or their home away from home. Bochy cant do damn thing right against this team in this park.
Our only shot is Monty and Eovaldi pitching flawlessly and hoping for the good Sborz, having to sweat to death waiting for Chapman to do his thing and finishing with a revived Leclerc

Also, Bradford should be utterly humiliated for giving up that back-breaking HR to that pitiful fossil Abreu. You. Can’t. Let. That. Happen. Period.

You know legit players like Alvarez and Tucker are going to get big hits. Can’t stop that. But Jose Abreu is so bad that he was below .200 for a lot of the season and was even benched by Houston for a large stretch. There was talk he should just retire. That’s how bad he was.

Let's be fair. I am not a Bochy but look at the whole picture. No deGrom, Eovaldi injured for weeks, Scherzer injured and never had a bull pen. Who could expect much even if Bochy had made good decisions.

The announcers are ready calling it the Astros 2nd home park

This game isn’t on Bochy. Starting Heaney was a dumb call, but Dunning was awful, too. So either way, Bochy was probably screwed.

When pitchers who should be halfway decent (guys like Heaney, Dunning, Bradford, etc) fail miserably, that’s on the players. It’s only when truly terrible pitchers like Will Smith or Chapman on back to back days are put in, that’s a manager problem.

The Rangers are in trouble, when their starting pitcher doesn’t go 6 or 7 innings.

1st and 2nd, nobody out. The Astros turned that into 4 runs. We turned the same exact scenario into 0 runs and out of the inning just 2 batters later. Just pitiful.

Yeah we had all the breaks all series until we hit the Globe against the Astros

We can still do this even losing their one but some breaks need to come our way

I do wonder what a difference a healthy Degrom would
have made. That’s why resigning Monty is an absolute must. Who knows what Scherzer is going to give us next year. Degrom might not be available until August or later and is Eovaldi going to stay healthy all year

Somebody tell grandpa for future reference that Yordan Alvarez hits lefties better than righties.

Hard to be the best that way. We have done better than could have been imagined.
