2023 & 2024 he played 87 games in LF and 67 games in CF
Yeah, so he was brand new at it in 2022. Now he is fairly new at CF. A lot like Langford in that respect. He is still learning as well.

Ha in that specific respect but in talent I will take Langford

I am thinking the team wants to just run it back but it is obvious to me we need some new additions

If next year we don’t do well, there may be some overhaul
I can see the team improving if Carter and Jung stay healthy. I can also see us getting more of the same from guys like Marcus, Leody, Jonah, Adolis, and maybe Lowe as well.

We did go 14-12 in September, but even then we only played 3 games against teams that went to the postseason.

I think we have a long way to go. If they go after as many good relievers as I would like, I would feel better about next year's team, but I don't expect them to do that.

A whole lot depends on health.

The catcher position INO is far from solved and obviously RP is a huge need and one more bat
Dreaming of Santander

Over 70 Marlins staffers have been fired, throughout the organization. Now, that's a lot of turnover.

The Rangers had 4 prospects who hit 100 mph on the radar gun this year in the minors. Teodo, Rocker, and Leiter are 3 of them. Can you make the other one?

tired of 1 position of'ers if we are going after a FA Of'er i'd put Tyler O'Neill first, Santander 2nd

Evan Grant listed 5 longterm developments to be encouraged about regarding the 2024 season.

Wyatt Langford
deGrom's health
Josh Smith
Pitching Development
Cody Bradford

This made me think ahead to who could do the same next year. Maybe, something like the folliwing:

Evan Carter's health
deGrom staying healthy
Dustin Harris
Minor league hitting development
Ryan Garcia

Of course, I have no idea who the Rangers will even give a shot to, to become a young new position player who could surprise folks as much as Smith did. If they give a shot to either Huff or Crim, I think it would be one of them, instead of Harris.

Evan Carter staying healthy could give us more production over the course of the season than Langford gave us this year.

Read where it's estimated Bergman will get a 6 year deal between 160-200 million. Many believe Houston will ante up.

I think that will be a bad mistake.

That's what I am hoping happens. Verlander is a free agent too. He and Scherzer need to retire even though between the two of them Verlander may put in a few good starts but not worth the money they will demand. The problem is they will be that the salary they will demand will be based on what they once were.

The more mistakes the Astros make, the better.

From Jon Morosi:

News: Twins announce Thad Levine will “depart the organization to pursue new challenges and opportunities, both inside and outside of baseball.”

We have an opening at the GM position.

They may have to defer money to keep under luxury tax methinks

Well they do have a history of not signing star players. Correa and Springer, just to mention two of them. I thought I heard Tucker is a free agent also. If that’s true and they both leave, that will be good amount of offense gone. I would love to see that happen.

I don’t know who got Josh Smith turned around. If he’s not already the hitting coach, he should be.
