I sure hope that’s not the case. The Rangers have had enough of that. I like the hire. I didn’t want Wash back as the manager.

It excites me that he’s excited about what CY, front office and owners have planned.

Maybe that was in a year they were chasing a pennant and mabe he might manage differently on a team finishing up a rebuild. We can hope.

Mgrs like him have reasons for what they do. Could have been a number of reasons why he did that .

Those are my thoughts too. Bochy brings credibility to the team and the fact that CY pulled it off makes me feel very good about him too. This time there is no guessing needed to decide if Young or JD deserves credit. It is his first solo experience and he came through with flying colors.

I think Young should even be able to keep Ray Davis from losing patience so we can finish this thing off right.

yeah, I didn't intend for it to be a concrete summation of what to expect. just thought it was funny, given how much discussion there has been here over the years about that exact same thing.

CY knows exactly what this team needs. He just achieved the first need. Now he and Botchy can begin finishing the rebuild. The combination of the two give me hope that we can reach the top again.

Yeah, it was very ironic.

You know, there are going to be decisions he makes that some of us don't agree with, but that's okay. Well, as long as it's not a pitch Harrison instead of Holland type of decision, lol. That's what makes baseball fun, the fact that there are so many decisions within a game to discuss and even disagree about. I think as long as he doesn't ask CY to sign Gallo or announce Spencer Howard as the Opening Day pitcher, most of us will be fine with him.
