Rebuild done....It all starts with pitching
As they all do …..which ones we are fortunate to haveAnd the day started with such promise.

I have never been of the opinion that we should spend big money on a pitcher this offseason, unless it was a very special case where we sign someone to a one or two year deal, like Kershaw. It started to become clear several weeks ago that CY and Rat Davis thought differently though.I have a hard time thinking The Rangers are going to immediately sink 40 plus million per year in a pitcher with so much pitching needs
Really doubt if DeGrom signs quickly

I would rather spend big on Judge than on a pitcher, but that isn't in the plans.
To me, we need 2 or 3 decent pitchers to put with Gray for this year and maybe next year. We got one of those earlier this week.
I still think they should offer Martin 2 well paid years and a third year that can vest if he pitches well. That third year could include a significant buy out.
I'd rather give a one of our guys a shotI wonder if the Rangers could deal with the Diamondbacks to get a LF.
Been a while,
I just find the phrasing "DeGrom is interested in the Rangers" as opposed to the usual other way around
That's basically my point, we're always interested in pitchers but rarely are they interested in us backI mean, let's be honest. deGrom is interested in getting paid. But for the Rangers to be seen as a big name destination is definitely something to get excited about.
Besides the team being in the upstream and opening the wallet, the stadium is better for pitchers. The AC and not as hitter friendlyThat's basically my point, we're always interested in pitchers but rarely are they interested in us back
I have no problem leaving Ornelas unprotected.
Rangers: Jonathan Ornelas, SS/3B (No. 21)
Ornelas batted .299/.360/.425 with 14 homers and as many steals in 123 Double-A games at age 22. The 2018 third-rounder from an Arizona high school has solid speed and arm strength, which lend themselves to defensive versatility, but the Rangers also have an abundance of infielders with higher offensive ceilings.
The following guys should be able to get longer term deals, but if they don't I would be interested in a 2 year deal:I agree.
Not counting Perez, what 3 or 4 pitchers do you want to get 1 of?
