Surprisingly they keep him. Guess he is heads for 60DL
I think that was decided when they left him on prior to Rule 5.

Yeah I thought he was a non tender candidateThe Brett Martin situation makes the lack of signing relievers even more puzzling, and it makes the decision to keep him on the roster prior to Rule 5 more puzzling.
Yeah, I am getting tired of hearing about him.
Kind of don’t care. He is no second coming.
From Jeff Wilson:
The Rangers expect to land three notable prospects Sunday, the first day for the new international signing period, including another one of Vladimir Guerrero’s sons.
This one is Pablo Guerrero. He’s is built like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and is a corner outfielder who will likely end up playing first base. He’s not as advanced as the Blue Jays All-Star, so don’t be shocked if he doesn’t reach the majors by age 20.
The Rangers are also planning to sign corner outfielder Geisel Cepeda, who played professionally in Cuba before defecting two years ago. He’s an intriguing prospect with plus raw power who makes a lot of contact. The Rangers think they can tap into more than he has shown.
The prize of the class is shortstop Sebastian Walcott from the Bahamas. He’s the regarded as a top-10 prospect in the class and has agreed to a bonus reportedly around $3 million.
Outfielder Anthony Gutierrez headlined the 2022 class that also included outfielder Jose de Jesus. Gutierrez is one of the teams’ top-15 prospects and could surge into the top 10 this season.
Good thing we have depth
