I wonder if the Rangers might consider signing Derek Holland to a minor league deal with a ST invite. They might think reuniting him with Maddux could be worth a shot. He is listed as a reliever now.

It will be interesting in a few years to see what all of these teams will do with these not so great ballplayers who still are due to make $75-125 million over the remaing three or four years of their contracts. Seager will most likely be one of them.

He was on the radio today advocating a closer and BReynolds

That’s what I was thinking..
Maybe they’re expecting a lot more future income, inflation and much higher CBA thresholds beginning in 2027. Current one expires Dec 2026.

Bringing Moore back plus Odorizzi coming out of the pen would make for a better bullpen than last year, at the very least.
Moore, Burke, Hearn and Odorizzi can all go multi-innings when necessary.

I think they need to let him learn both. He probably needs to be a DH, but he would be a lot more helpful if he could fill in in a couple of different places if need be. Then again, he can already play 2B and he has a very limited amount of time at 3B.

The thing is, I believe our man Crim is going to beat him to Arlington and he can already play 1B.
