Yeah, he's a guy that probably projects as a very good #2 on this team behind deGrom, but at worst he's a tiny bit behind Perez if Perez pitches like last year again.

We will once again not have a second or third round pick in the draft next year. Add that to losing those same two picks last year, bad third and fourth round picks two years ago and losing Englert this winter, and the teams long term sustainability has taken a significant hit. At the deadline we will be required to trade for a couple of hitters and a closer. Maybe we can find a way to not draft a hitter in the first and fourth rounds again next year. Lol

We had better find a way to win a WS in 2023 or 2024 because after that a natural age-related decline for Degrom, Perez, Heaney, Garcia, Seagar, and Semien is in order. Look like we are all in for the next two years. Maybe we can win a wildcard series one of those years anyway.

Naw, go for broke. Trade the better guys and get a better return. None of those guys will be ready to play at an All Star level on Opening Day anyway, so they don't have much use here do they, lol.
