Why put him in CF to learn when they need help in LF? Unless they don’t think Taveras is going to make it or they feel if he learns CF that he should be able to play any OF position…
Or they maybe planning on including Taveras in a trade.

I don't think they see Taveras as the answer in CF.

I don't cause he's never really hit wherever he's been, but I'm guessing he'll get another chance to prove he can handle it next Spring...

Or they maybe planning on including Taveras in a trade.

Or they're trying to light a fire under his butt as a way to motivate him...

He had bigger offers and turned them down to pitch for the Dodgers.

Makes sense. It seems like the Dodgers are always signing average- to pretty good SPs and getting them to pitch like all stars for a year or two.
Bet Syndergaard has a huge year and gets set up for a huge payday next off-season from another team.
Then the Dodgers will do the same thing again with some other vet type.

So are the Rangers done.....? Been awhile since we heard they were in on anyone significant, though they claimed to be, even after signing Heaney.

I think they’re waiting for a Left Fielder.
They probably have a couple of offers out, both FA and trade

I wonder if the Rangers do go after a bat, if it will be a DH?
