Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but I think we will see a trade or two in the next few days. There are some things that don't make a lot of sense, that could be cleared up with a trade or two.

I think they're also waiting to see who might be released from other teams in the next few days before making a move...

If he were on the team, Woody would likely have not hesitated to say yes. IMO

I think before, they have waited all the way until the day before the season started.

Kudos to JD for being willing to allow Odor to be shown the door. If Chris Young was the convincing voice, then kudos to him too, or Woodward for that matter.

I guess if nothing can be worked out they DFA him and give themselves extra time to find a trade.

I'm sure it was a group effort. Either way, the team moves forward, and I'm glad for that.

I still think we have a trade in the works, a non-Odor trade, that is.

I would still like to see Lowe get some time in at 3B.

I get that we had to put Odor there all spring so that it looked like we were ready to keep him this year, in order to slightly increase the return in whatever trade we could muster up. The plan is understandable; it just didn't work out. The same kind of plan should be in place for Lowe and Guzman. The appearance that we have room for both needs to be created for future trade purposes.

I usually say trade the best and keep the rest when we have too many players at a given position. At this point we might be able to keep the best and trade the one who is perceived as the best. Let's see what happens.
