Unless there is a shortened ST the season will not start on time. Would not be surprised is there is a long outage. MLB just wanted to look like they were urgent to get a deal done but it is all smoke and mirrors. They have shown no willingness to negotiate even at the midnight hour.

Cue the onslaught of disgust that will be coming

I like that idea. I do however, have some concerns that media members who vote might be tempted to right a wrong and vote for a less deserving rookie simply because his team jerked him around and kept him in the minors due to service time concerns.

Tonight, I discovered that Fort Worth has a professional lacrosse team, the Panther City Lacrosse Club, in the National Lacrosse League. I think I may have to go out to Dickies Arena and watch a game or two during the next couple of months. They have a great logo, but a really bad record.
