Until both sides get serious it doesn't matter to me if one side moves a yard or an inch. If both sides moved a yard at a time it would still take way too long.this isn't a philosophical/symbolic negation, though. If this was a matter of the proverbial "let's meet halfway," then the counteroffers by the league would be significantly more than what they've been.
I've known people who have moved the symbolical inch alongside others who moved a yard, and felt they made an equal effort because "we both moved."

i understand your views but it takes 2 to reach an agreement and neither has shown littleIn my opinion, yes. Relative to this specific negotiation and the contributions that the league, at least. At one point the league waited 6 weeks to respond to an offer made by the players.
Those 6 prospects plus Harris and Foscue have shown up on various top 100 prospects lists as of late. I doubt we have come close to having a total of 8 ranked that high by the more respected rankings. These Rangers prospects made Fangraphs Top 100 Prospects.
9 - Jung
24 - Leiter
52 - Winn
69 - Duran
84 - White
89 - Smith

Just wait until the various rankers see what Vanasco, Evans, Roby and Crim will do this season. Maybe Huff, too.
understand i hope you're right i just want baseball backEveryone is certainly entitled to their opinion on the matter.
I still think there is a good possibility that they will. What tempered it was the leadership type meeting they had with some of the prospects a few weeks back. They have also been open to finding new positions for some of the guys who seemed to have no position after signing the two SS in free agency. Those two things make it seem like they are looking to have those guys around for awhile.I didn't respond to your post at the time, and if you explained it, apologies, but what made you reconsider the idea that the Rangers would trade off many of their top ranked prospects?
