No More "Bullpen Failure"
Napoli, Cruz, Lee, and Hamilton all seemed happy here, but they all left.He seems pretty happy to be with the Giants though

I agree. That may be the intangible that keeps him here a couple of seasonsVeterans are great to have if they have great stats. The only place you can afford to have a veteran leader who doesn't produce good stats is backup catcher. We may already have that in Trevino.
There is a good chance that something similar to that will help us sign Story.I think there was a familiarity with Lee's family and Philadelphia that was the deciding factor
I am sure the Rays feel snakebit re the BoSox series. I think the Rays losing bodes well for the AstrosI'm not much for guessing and projections when it comes to 2022 and the Rangers. But I'm enjoying the postseason so far. Can't believe the Rays are already out of it.
I like his bat. Not so sure about his defense currentlyThere is a good chance that something similar to that will help us sign Story.
Napoli just went were the money was the best, same with Cruz.
You are reopening Pandora’s box sirActually I'm wrong about Cruz. He *thought* he was going where the money was best, and overplayed his hand.
Just saying that players can like it somewhere and still find a reason to leave.I think there was a familiarity with Lee's family and Philadelphia that was the deciding factor. The Rangers offered him more money if I remember correctly.
Hamilton ended 2012 on a horrible note and probably wanted a change of scenery. A 5/125 contract offer didn't hurt.

I think for pitchers YesOn a similar note:
not sure if I've seen it mentioned, but does anyone think the addition of the roof plays a part in free agents considering Texas?
It has to make it much more likely than when they had to consider the heat.On a similar note:

They really thought a lot of him a couple of years ago. We simply need him to eat some innings in 2022, and then we can make a decision at the end of the year.
Sounds like they want to keep him or trade him
