i think that to get the max out of Kole the Rangers plan on using him most of the time at DHHere is a small excerpt from Jeff Wilson's report this morning. His article deals with the Kole Calhoun signing.
"And, here’s another benefit of the one-year Calhoun deal: Maybe he does keep a spot warm for the return of Joey Gallo in 2023."
That ought to brighten your Friday. Lol

This this year is still a year of developmenti thought we were already moving Huff to 1B
He really needs to improve his hitting to stick anywhere. This this year is still a year of development
Hopefully Huff sticks at catcher
With 10 yrs offered it is doubtful he will last that long. That contract is more than fair and if he does not sign I hope he will get nothing better. Greed is someday going to ruin baseball.Carlos Correa Rumors: Tigers Offered Astros Free Agent 10-Year, $275M Contract

True but a light hitting catcher is a lot easier to carry than a 1BHe really needs to improve his hitting to stick anywhere.
We have two of those now.True but a light hitting catcher is a lot easier to carry than a 1B
True again but if he can catch he will likely get a shot. Have to think he has more hitting promise than the current addition. We have two of those now.

So in summary, my hope is Huff can catch and hit. Otherwise at 1B, I have little hope for him
i would imagine that at least Trevino will be gone by the end of next season and probably Heim tooWe have two of those now.
At this point I have a lot more hope for both Crimm and Harris as possible first basemen. Huff has to be able to catch again and hit a lot better for me to have anywhere close to the same hope that I used to have for him. Maybe, last year was just an aberration for him.True again but if he can catch he will likely get a shot. Have to think he has more hitting promise than the current addition.
