At first glance, it seems to be a good deal for both sides.

Lynn‘s efforts were going to be wasted here. Even if he put up another cy Young caliber body of work. We really need this dunning kid to be a mainstay in the rotation for the next 5 years and be at least a solid major league starter. Someone we can count on for some strike outs and an under 4 ERA would be nice.

UPDATE — The second player is reportedly Avery Weems, a left hander who was taken in the sixth round in 2019 as a senior out of Arizona State, fetching just a $10,000 bonus.

Hope to trade Gallo like we did with Lynn. Hate to give up a defensive player like him but we need more pitching and or a better offensive bat. IMHO an extension is not an option for Joey.
On the surface, it looks to me we have some nice young talent coming re Huff, Jung,Solak and IKF etc. Looking forward to see if CY will make a big splash.
By the way, you all seem to be healthy and that is good news.

It is a lot better to be fully rebuilding finally, instead of hanging out in the middle between rebuilding and contending. I wish we had went this route a few years back, but better late than never I guess.
