Two things. The first is the complete lack of respect Santana gets for putting it all together once he finally was given the opportunity to play every day. The second, is the overblown idea about how Santana makes a great bench player, and since that is so important, we should leave him on the bench to fill in all over the field.Oh and what would that be?
Lol, you are a little late with this one.
Should I delete? HahaLol, you are a little late with this one.
No, you never know when someone might miss the other one. At least they are on different pages.Should I delete? Haha
And, a Boras guy gets signed before the Winter Meetings. I like a team not messing around.

Exactly what I was talking about. Right on cue.Given is one thing earned is something else.
Ah so you like riding what are considered to be full time starters until they puke. The game has changed in the last 20 years some folks have figured out all players need rest not dogging, they usually perform better.
No puking is needed and one of your best hitters shouldn't be relegated to a fill-in either. Guys who can't hit well enough to start usually fill out the bench unless you are overloaded with offensive talent, which we aren't.Given is one thing earned is something else.

Bleacher report
Thought he had a rough stretch near the end of the seasonRe Santana's HR stroke in 2019. He only had 4 in his first 160 AB or so. Once he got acclimated to playing every day he got in a groove, and then over the last 314 AB or so and hit 24 more. It is amazing what playing every day, and being allowed to play through a slump, will do for you.
So who are you going to bench? Which FA's are you going to pass on? Personally I want his bat in the order but if we bench Odor then I want to see Solak at 2B. If we move Mazara then I want Gallo in RF and a true CF out there. If it comes down to have a shot of signing Rendon then I want him at 3rd. Now if we benched Choo then i could see Santana get around 90 games there plus another 60 filling in at multiple positionsNo puking is needed and one of your best hitters shouldn't be relegated to a fill-in either. He did go through a slump, but pulled out if it and hit .298 over his last 47 AB and hit 4 HR in that time.Thought he had a rough stretch near the end of the season
