It is not apples to apples. Guzman was paid $569,000 last year. We need to give him this year unless we have a very decent alternative as it is a low cost risk. I mean how bad of a stinking defense to you want to put out on the field?I fear that they’re going to give Guzman the same freedom and trust that they give odor.
Guzman needs a platoon or “ training wheels” of some kind. I just don’t trust him to hit well enough to justify playing him everyday.
