Farrell is with his 5th team in 2 years. This tells me he is terrible. Sounds like another Matt Moore.

Maybe Moore without the past success.Farrell is with his 5th team in 2 years. This tells me he is terrible. Sounds like another Matt Moore.
No one mentioned his compensation or how long he would be here or in what capacity.Farrell is likely placed on waivers again at some point to see if he takes a minor league contract. No real investment and not comparable to Matt Moore. Surely you guys can't be serious about this comparison

I think thinking he would be about as good as Moore would be pretty accurate.
You are taking our assessment a bit too seriously and maybe a tad too personally.
You are probably right on the button with that assessment. We are probably pretty close about how good he would be pitching here.Oh he still has an option so his compensation is minimal compared to Moore. There is no way in the planet he is thought of being penciled in as a planned starter for 2019. Apples to oranges So thought your assessment was a joke;that is how any reasonable Ranger historian would take it.
Otherwise- Guess a difference of opinion. We shall see how he is utilized or even used but IMO at most minor league depth and will never start a game with Rangers unless an emergency

We don't have much to talk about on here and very little of substance. Don't ask us to give up what little banter we get. lol
With this team Farrell would probably be our #4 or #5 starterWent ahead and looked up and salary was 545K with no work last year in prearb mode. Won't get much more with lack of performance last year. I think he gets waived again. Cubs with good pitching assessment let him go
Yes it is slow out in Rangerland. Still think we trade Minor if good offer is shown. Wonder if Phillies are waiting on Machado and Harper signings. They have to be in go mode
More likely 4th or 5th in NashvilleWith this team Farrell would probably be our #4 or #5 starter
you know I was kidding rightMore likely 4th or 5th in Nashville
I think they have Bubba too low at #10.
you know I was kidding right
we have Lynn, Smyly & Volquez already so ready don't see doing much elseHonestly did not know one way or another. Do think we are not done from a SP standpoint. Yet ST approaches. A lot of players still on the board
I like the idea of going after quality relievers and starters to flip them eventually. We have tons of financial flexibility.
They should have room for 2 or 3 big tickets should they want to. If they wanted to sign Machado the way Morris suggested they would still have room for a couple of quality players should they want them. Not that they want any of that, but certainly finances shouldn't be the sticking point.Well sometimes you have to pay down to get your prospects but the money is spent. They may be saving money for a big ticket at some point
