The inexplicable faith in Odor on the part of the front office made Profar expendable in the eyes of JD and company.

I always thought at some point we would not have the services of either one of them as I expected Profar to be traded and Odor to be kept until he proved worthless even to the front office and then released.

Brock Burke was not in The Ray's top 30 prospects.

Eli White was Oakland's 17th best prospect.

I don't get it... the logjam is in the OF and DH not the IF... the return doesn't seem worth it at all

Gallo isn't much of a 3B and he doesn't even like playing there, he likes hitting and he doesn't even work on that like he should

So Profar, for a not top 15 prospect, a not top 30 prospect and 2 shitty relievers YAY

That's actually more than we got for Darvish.

Personally, I'm gonna give this trade some time to develop before I give it a grade.

It is another disappointing move by the front office. There is no use waiting to see how things play out and then be accused of judging the trade on hindsight.

As a fan, I have just about had it with the front office.

Keeping Wash way too long
Trading for Fielder
Acquiring Choo
Trading for Hamels
Trading for Lucroy
Keeping Choo too long
Starting rebuilding about 4 or 5 years too late
Too much patience with Odor
Trading Profar for not much of anything

That adds up to a whole lot of disappointment. The WS years are a distant memory. The Hamilton and Teixeira deals brought those years to us and there are no more Hamiltons or Teixeiras available for JD to get or trade. Those were very rare opportunities. The time of JD's magic has passed.

I honestly don't think there is anything the FO could do you would approve of.

Profar was never handled well from the onset

Then you don't pay close enough attention.

I probably show approval a good deal more often than you express disapproval.

If they do move Gallo back to third, looks like Calhoun will get a lot more playing time.
