Until Mack rides off into the sunset, Texas will struggle to reach the Vince Young/McCoy era.

Diaz should have been fired LAST YEAR to be honest.

Yes, Mack has to go, but he isn't going to be fired by the AD. We've been over this a million times here.

if the AD is not going to fire MAck, who does Mack fire next if the Longhorns season ends up in the dumps?

After the Longhorns look gassed next week it'll be the waterboy.

I've explained this to you a million times. Geez man, pay attention.

The AD's contract is up this summer. He's going to retire. The NEW AD will hire his own coaches. But a short timer at AD is not going to go through the hassle of finding a new coach.

Understand this? Get it?

I think that AD should just fire coach Mack

He's wondering who's next on Mack's chopping block of assistants.

I thinks Mack is going to be informed he is to "retire" by the end of the season.

It is a fact that some good players can prop up a bad coach in some years. Alabama saw this happen with Dubois in the season that we won the SEC and played in the Orange Bowl against Tom Brady. Great players, but a terrible coach. Also, look at what good players did for Auburn in 2010 under Chizik.

Do you think OD actually reads here?

Shaun Alexander.
I remember watching that game.
