radio guys were spittballin he didnt make the cut because of suspension history ... that he lost his mind this season and against philly in the playoffs

He's been known to take stupid penalties and simply let emotions take over...needs to mature. He HAS gotten better (outside of the obvious situation this year that is...), but I do think it had something to do with it. The dude is red hot right now, but he's also a streaky scorer...so if that hot streak were to end, not sure he'd be the best choice.

In my opinion, he's an absolute stud, I don't think people realize how good he truly is.

He had 2 assists as well. I realize the team isn't having a good year, but it's due to the goaltending situation. It has nothing to do with Tavares or the offense in general. Now Nabokov is going to be out at least 1 week. Since he'd been back the Isles were playing very well.

John Tavares is a Superstar. If the media is blind to this it's their problem.

Depends on where Marty's head is. If he had his heart set on it, then yeah. If Marty just wants to lead the Bolts to a cup and wants rest... nah.

And I doubt that Yzerman is not constantly communicating with Marty the whole time. Delicate balance.

on the radio here today, dreger was kinda insinuating that Yzerman recused himself from the final decision on St Louis ... dont know how that could have shaken down

as for Seabrook being a snub ... is this a serious thing now??? I can understand it coming from a chicago homer/hoser like JR but caman this is international hockey ... big ice ... if Babcock only trusted Seabrook to play 5:57 of ice time in the gold medal game in Vancouver 2010 on regular nhl sized ice ...dont you think the writing was on the wall???

This is why I don't understand how Orpik could be on Team USA over Yandle.

I do expect a Canada vs Sweden Gold Medal Game. It's going to be a fun tourney!!
