Not his fault he plays on the 24th ranked scoring team in the league. Beginning of the season before the concussion, he was our best forward. His game is getting better and better each game, but I guess it's safe to assume you all who bash him sit down and watch a full 60 minute Ranger game, right?

And I don't see what last years stats have to do with anything, he put up 42 points in 44 games in a defensive-minded system.

I don't hate the Nash pick and he has responded well when wearing the Maple Leaf in the past. I just think you're seeing some Nash backlash because many of us would have preferred to see Giroux and St. Louis.

Not to mention heart. It's not even close. Giroux has more in his little finger than Carter and Nash do combined in their whole bodies.

Pretty much this.

Oh, and look who the Flyers play tonight! The Devils! Giroux's gonna either score a hat trick or be suspended. Or maybe both. I mean, this is the same guy who turns his anger into this:

and this:

It's the fact Nash is seen by many as a borderline bust - he's not nowhere near a point per game player when he has all the tools to dominate. He has gone into beast mode a few times in the past but those instances are about as rare as a Yakupov backcheck. He's about as intense as Bobby Ryan is.

if Nash and Ryan lack intensity what does that make Patrick Marleau ...

I think you got Marleau all wrong - I saw his passion and spark in that video of him and Burns opening Christmas gifts and playing with their toys.

I guess if it came down to

Giroux
Nash
Marleau
St Louis
Kunitz

and I had to take 4 of those 5 I would take

Giroux
Nash
St Louis
Kunitz

You know better than I do, honestly. But his first concussion was in early October, the one against the Sharks. Was he their best player for 2 games? I think he's going to Sochi in a fourth line type role, which with his size, could be a good thing. I just don't see what he's done in the past few seasons to get in over a guy like Marty St. Louis (who has the most points since 2010 in the NHL...which is crazy...and he plays on Yzerman's team...).
