I have to think that Giroux will get the call if Stamkos can't go or if a player on the current roster gets injured.

/Maybe it's time to bring out my Patrick Marleau voodoo doll :noidea:

What are the odds that Stamkos says he cant go? He will even play is he isnt 100%

I cant understand the thinking in snubbing Giroux.

its not about current stats for me. its about just who is a better player and Giroux is way better than Carter

Not to mention heart. It's not even close. Giroux has more in his little finger than Carter and Nash do combined in their whole bodies.

Let me tell ya, it was a joy having them on the same team. Albeit briefly.

ahhh thats the reason for carter and nash... it was because of the chemistry they had in Columbus I get it now

checking out in columbus is a whole hell of a lot easier than checkin out for team canada ... who was gonna hold his feet to the fire there ??? your buddy twatwaffle?

I dont agree with both of them being named but I severely doubt they "check out" at the Olympics

Nash was good in 2010 ... he generated chances and played a grinding roll ... Stevie Y seems caught between 2 minds and imo he prob liked their size and it won out ... I just dont think he needed to put that much emphasis on it with the tournament being on the big ice ... look at what the sedins did at last years worlds for fucks sakes Stevie Y!!!

Yep both stood and waited for someone to dig a puck out of the corner and when it came free they fought each other for it so the could be the ones to shoot it. Because neither one knows how to make a pass, apparently.

He was good in 2010, but I think a lot of that was how him and Lil Joey made room for each other. I am not sure who is going to center Nash to compliment his game that way, and give him a chance to compliment theirs. Thornton and Nash had good chemistry. Maybe he'll surprise, and I hope he does. But I think he's a risk. Maybe if he lucks into the Kunitz/Crosby line...

Of course, then we'll have to hear two months of "SHERO'S GONNA GET NASH!!11!"

Thornton heatley Marleau played together all throughout 2010 and by the end they were seeing sub 15 mins

It was Nash Toews Richards as a 3rd line ... cant forget them terrorizing russia

Marleau is putting together a pretty nice year in San Jose, but more often than not, I just don't see him as a difference maker in big games. Prove me wrong Patrick.

if canada can win gold with Dany Heatley in the lineup in 2010, Sochi should be a piece o cake without him
