Thornton heatley Marleau played together all throughout 2010 and by the end they were seeing sub 15 mins

It was Nash Toews Richards as a 3rd line ... cant forget them terrorizing russia

Then what tourney am I thinking of where he played with Thornton?

I think the speed and puck moving ability of the Canadian defensemen will definitely make up for some of the slower Canadian forwards (at least I hope so).

I remember a Heatley-Getzlaf-Nash line being dominant in a world championship a few years ago.

just to throw the wildest of wldcards out there ... if Brent Burns was healthy all season ... you think he works his way onto this team? and brings lil Joey T along with him?

could go back to D in a pinch and could also re-unite on a line with getzlaf (2003-04 world juniors goof troop redux)

This is what I think could happen. They were successful in 2010 so they tried to build a similar type of roster but failed to account for the translation to the larger ice.

It's not surprising that both the US and Canada did better in 2010 & 2002 than in 1998 or 2006.

looked back at the 2006 Torino roster for some serious shits and giggles

that d corps back then ... blech lol

Regehr/Redden/Foote ... woof

/like dash said ... canadas d corp this year should compensate for any lack of footspeed that may emerge amongst the big forwards

Wasn't Todd Bertuzzi also part of the Torino Canada team?

/I remember posting that I supported his addition
//I also remember posting that it was one of the dumbest things I have ever posted online (lol)

Bryan McCabe was initially picked ahead of Danny Boyle for that team lol

Boyle ended up being one of the taxi squad players with Staal and Spezza

That NHL lockout that erased the 2004-05 season really caused a lot of headaches and second guessing. Probably should have taken Crosby on that team (as an extra forward).

/Regehr and Foote on defense, sheesh no wonder Canada finished out of the medals.

The hate on Nash is hysterical. Would you guys hate him this much if he wasn't a Ranger?
