If Tanaka misses some time it gives Felix a nice little window to boost his Cy Young candidacy as well.

I had a feeling even without the injury Tanaka would start to drop off as the season went along. There are a few things about his pitching approach that lead me to believe the more major league hitters see him the easier he will be to hit.

But man what a huge blow to the Yankees. He is their MVP of the first half.

Although guys like Darvish and Tanaka rival Felix for the Cy Young, I still love watching them pitch. Offense is nice, but there's just something special about watching a pitcher's duel between two aces.

Hate to see such a great pitcher go down. Hopefully he comes back the same.

That list of pitchers needing Tommy John surgery this season keeps getting longer and longer. Luckily for those guys, the odds of them coming back from that surgery and going on to have long careers are getting better all the time.

This is a reason I'm not really against trading Walker away right now. Any day he could go on the Tommy John list along with the 800 other pitchers this season.
