Yea they were good. I'm interested to see what kind of every down play Tollefson can bring, actually. I'm just not going to get my hopes up about it. He's been in the league a while.

packers get 4 compensatory picks.

2 in the 4th and two in the 7th for losing 3 free agents last year (jenkins, jackson and college):

Fourth round
37 (132): Packers
38 (133): Packers

Seventh round
34 (241): Packers
36 (243): Packers

not bad. wonder if they can package anything to trade up. also wonder what they might get for losing flynn and wells this year. i rather like the concept of compensatory picks.

Yea Johny, I just heard that last night! I did not know that was coming! Our scouts and TT will turn that into something.

Offensive Line is damn near everything. Give Rodgers half a second more time and you might as well stick a fork in the other guys.

You said it, Bucky!

I think Wells is a good guy, & I wish him well
[wherever he went - not a Packer = not important].

But, I think we'll be very happy with Saturday in front of A.R..

I do too. Saturday is a badass. I hope Cobb is ready to take over a good chunk of Rodgers' throws next year. I don't think Driver can get back to what he was, and I think Finley was a gigantic waste of cash.

Love Driver - but you may be right.
Cobb definitely has to step up - it's his time.

Finley IS a waste - couldn't figure TT on that one, except it's hard for guys who think they're always right, to ever admit they were wrong [he seems to hang on to his higher draft picks for a very long time as if desperate to prove picking them was brilliant].
Pride can be a killer.

Should have let Finley walk [run his mouth somewhere else].

I don't know what to think about finley. His talent is unbelievable. He's capable of being a better tight end than both gronk and graham. I can sorta understand why they want to give him every chance. If he can be more consistent, the offense will be sick. Also, this season will be two years removed from the acl, which everyone says is when guys get back to full strength. I'm willing to be patient with him for now. But hopefully a replacement/plan b is on the roster by this spring.

I can't remember if Crabtree is still around or not. I don't like Finley. I don't hate him, but I don't like him. Throwing the piss fit right before the Super Bowl was selfish. Anyone putting their team first would have realized the potential there was to hinder his teammates emotionally. Then he talks shit all last season and can't do his QB right by catching the damn ball in the clutch? What's the point of all that talkin' then?

Finley -
All talk & no production.

I think TT is a little arrogant on this subject - guy is average at best - nowhere near Gronk
[& I don't think he will ever be close]

It's too bad we couldn't have picked up the Gronk. Why should Tom Brady have all the fun?

Then again - wasn't Gronk the moron in the club after the SB loss?

Not a fan of that.

I think I must have missed that. Googling....

HAH! Wow. Gronk is a douche. LOL

No.
Probably hard to figure, since they're so far down the list.
It's always an interesting process isn't it?

I remember a couple years back when TT picked BJ. I was just leaving Kenosha for Janesville. when I got there, I turned the TV on & NE was on the clock. Next thing I knew GB was on the clock instead & they picked Clay.
Maybe the greatest day one draft I can think of.

NFL.com mock round 1 GB draft picks:

Shea McClellin [DE] - Boise State [2 votes]
Courtney Upshaw [OLB] - Alabama
Andre Branch [DE] - Clemson
Peter Konz [C] - Wisconsin [2 votes]
Chandler Jones [DE] - Syracuse
Nick Perry [DE] - USC
Fletcher Cox [DT] Mississippi State [2 votes]

10 guys making predictions = 7 different theories.
Guess that's to be expected when you're picking 28th.
[only consensus picks are 1 & 2 - still no lock]

I just can't see Konz sliding that far. Not sure they'd pick him up with Saturday there, either, we have too many other needs. On the other hand, if he does slide, he may be the best player available, and TT does tend to lean toward the bpa strategy.

For my money, if I were Thompson, I'd take the most natural pass rusher available. Somebody needs to free up Clay.

Kenosha to Janesville, eh? A little trip through Paul Ryan's district.
