John Clayton of ESPN is assigned to attend the 49ers' practices Wednesday through Friday. Professional Football Writers of America president Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News has assigned me to cover the 49ers' Saturday practice, the team's final practice before Super Bowl XLVII. My duty is to file a report concerning the physical condition of players on each team and general description of the daily work schedule. Peter King is assigned to the Ravens' practices.
Looks like those pizzas were too late from Kaepernick. I guess Kaepernick is looking for bigger awards and trophies. I know some people would gag if they gave the award to Alex for being professional and courteous in his benching. They gave him a share of it with Shaun Hill in 2009(?).
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick might just become the most-bet-on player in Super Bowl history. That's at least according to longtime Vegas insider Jimmy Vaccaro of William Hill, which has 75 full-service properties in the state of Nevada.
Due to the fact that Kaepernick played his college ball in Reno at the University of Nevada, Vaccaro says people in the state can't wait to place a prop bet on him.
"Vic Fangio made the comment the other day, 'The smartest thing we did as an organization was pay Ahmad Brooks and keep him as a 49er,' " Harbaugh said in reference to his defensive coordinator. "We would all concur with that."
That's noteworthy insight from Harbaugh if he actually feels that way.
