Don't be a jabroni.
Not sure if someone already created one of these, if so my apologies. I figured we should keep all the news in one thread so it's easy to follow. This is for UFAs as well as RFAs you feel are important.
Starting it off, two for today so far.
Greene signing official:

And the first shitty contract belongs to the Lightning, signing Callahan for 6 years/$34.8 million ($5.8 million):

I have no doubt Brown's new deal (8 years/$47 million, $5.875 million) was a comp. I hate Brown's nw contract but taken as a comparable for Callahan, Brown has 2 Cups, is the long term captain and face of the franchise and in 2012 was huge in the playoffs and had an impact in the later rounds this season. Similar cap hits, somewhat similar players but Callahan hasn't done enough to warrant the extra $12.4 million over the life of both contracts.
Callahan wanted 6 years/$42 million from NY, dude was smoking some seriously good crack. He is a borderline T6 player, better suited for the B6 lines but has the intagibles. My money is on this contract being bought out in 4 years or less.
