Not sure where this belongs, but...........................

I taped (?) the 2011 Bronco vs Patriots Divisional Playoff game last night on the NFLN. I distinctly remember this game because my wife and I were at the house of a co-worker of hers. He's a great Italian cook and he makes everything from scratch. I remember munching on his home made hot sausage and meat sauce while watching TB12 throw 4 TDs in the first half and then tying the all time record with his 5th in the 3rd quarter.

Three things stood out. Actually four.

1. Tim Tebow took a ton of crap and was tarred and feathered by the Broncos and their fans. Tebow wasn't the problem. The Broncos were horrible. His main WR was a guy named Royal. His RB was a guy named Maghee. Twice so far,the HC has to run on the fild to call a TO because Tebow is getting calls in his helmet from the booth and sideline and those two are fighting. Tebow walks toward the sideline and points to the OC and then the booth and flips his hands in a complete question. I'v paused it to shower and get dressed . I'm flying to NH today to pick up my wife's car that's been in the body shop since May 15.

2. Jerrod Mayo was a beast.

3. Gronk had seven catches in the first half and two TDs. He just caught his third in the 3rd quarter. Not bad for a second year TE.

4. Finally. What a horrific waste of talent and life was Aaron Hernandez. He was the ultimate H-Back. On the second play of the game he took a hand-off from Brady and raced 43 yards. Tackling him was like trying to tackle a raging Rhino. When a pass was anywhere near him, defenders had to protect themselves from being blasted as he went for the ball. He may have been an asshole, but the man was gifted playing football.

Anyway, just thought I'd share some thoughts about eleven years ago.

Oh yeah, Edelman was already starting to push Welker out the door.
Remember a RB named Green-Ellis?
Well Tebow sucked too. Inaccurate, release slower than that constipated 85 year old man the had nothing but Mac n Cheese to eat for the last two weeks.

Gronk retires again.

Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from football today.

Is this time for real? Or will TB12 talk him into coming back just one more time?
I don't care.
He has been almost anti Patriot since his last year here.
I still say Bill should have never given him to the Bucs.

Gronk was always a goofball, but he gave is best on the field. He deserved everything he got including the rare moments Bill gives consideration.

Right but he did and he has to show support for his new team, at least I feel he should. What exactly has been so anti Patriot?

He was the best TE to ever play the game.
Undoubtedly.
But his schtick got old.

I have nothing but fond memories of Gronk.
I remember his 1st preseason game. Gronk and Hernandez.
I remember yelling into the other room, "we just stole the draft!"

I also like him throwing a Seahawks player "out of the club"

I didn't say SO anti patriot, I said almost anti Patriot.
But just a few of his comments;

“Yes, I’ve seen that before, actually,” Gronkowski explained.
“Not with the Patriots, though,” he added, jokingly. “They’ll probably pull you before you hit that bonus there. I shouldn’t have said that.”

Or

"They're both great coaches for sure. I love getting coached up, but one of the biggest things that I would just say is ... the freedom. The freedom of just being yourself with the coaches."

Or

"It was a tough season. It was a grind season, for sure. Let me tell you, it wasn’t really that fun of a year," Gronkowski said. "It was just a little eerie, the atmosphere with the Patriots."
Gronk's moment of clarity may have come that December, when he was suspended for the team's Week 14 game against Miami after spearing Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White the previous week.
"I was happy," Gronkowski said of learning about his suspension. "I was finally happy. I was like, ‘Yes, I’m away from football for a week. I get to recover my body.’ I mean, when you’re running full speed into people, it definitely was taking a toll on me. " ... I lost a paycheck -- it was about $300,000, that game check -- and I didn’t even care one bit. ”

Just my opinion.
For me, Edelman is the ultimate Patriot. Gronkowski is not.
Again, best TE ever to play the game.

You're free to have your own opinion and I don't care.

The Loop is off. Amazing how quick bank accounts become too small when the hand is extended for a commitment.

So instead of buying a $150,000 boat, I bought a $400,000 house and will buy myself a smaller boat to ride between St. Augustine and Daytona.

If I can afford the gas.

Had our first wild visitor yesterday afternoon.

A Florida Armadillo. I went out to take a picture of him and couldn't believe how fast he was. For some reason, I thought they were slow movers, not Tyreek Hill clones.

I have a 22, but don't think my neighbors would appreciate the noise. I have an 80 lb pull slingshot that just might be the answer. If that doesn't work, I'll get myself a really nice pellet gun. Slingshot should crack his armor coat, worst case. Best case is that granite knocker will take its head clean off.
