If you have to fire someone, it should have been the Special Teams Coordinator. Between #28 letting the punt bounce off his back foot, leading to a KC fumble recovery on the SF 16 yard line, and Moody missing an extra point, we are talking about an 8-point swing.

SF GM must have felt they needed to fry a bigger fish.

Tbh, I think Wilks has been under the microscope for some time. Probably going all the way back to the Vikings game. The defense took a step back this year. But yeah, he was just the scapegoat and probably didn't deserve it.

1. The ref explains the rules, players should listen.
2. Kyle and other players said they went over it during the week.
3. Kyle can't be blamed for Quinn giving up a 25 point lead in the SB. He was OC, not the HC.

4. That has nothing to do with Wilks being out. The SB doesn't either. Talking heads trying to make a story are saying scapegoat while everyone who has followed the team this season knew this was coming. Check every 49er fan forum, fans were expecting and are happy about this move.

What does this have to do with Wilks? Seems like you just have a hard on for hating Kyle. I was on here after the game blaming his play calling for losing the game. That's a different conversation than Wilks not fitting with the organization.
