Context, context, context! From 2006 through 2013 in NON-BOWL games vs ranked opponents ECU is
4-12--0.250 and ranks as 31 best in D1A.

That won/loss record ranks ECU ahead of teams such as: Michigan, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Penn St., Arizona St., Louisville, Michigan St., South Fla., North Carolina, Northwestern, Arizona, Nebraska, BYU, California, Miami (FL), Wake Forest, Maryland, Tennessee, Baylor, Rutgers, Connecticut, Mississippi, Illinois, Oregon St., Colorado, Virginia, Kentucky, Syracuse, Washington, Iowa St., Washington St., Vanderbilt, Mississippi St., Kansas, Purdue, Duke, Indiana, and Minnesota.

The 4 wins vs ranked opponents puts ECU ahead of: Louisville, BYU, Maryland, Illinois, Oregon St., Colorado, Kentucky, Washington, Rutgers, Connecticut, Virginia, Syracuse, Iowa St., Washington St., Vanderbilt, Mississippi St., Kansas, Purdue, Duke, Indiana, Minnesota.

Note: Duke, Indiana, and Minnesota have ZERO wins vs ranked teams.

Georgia Southern 26 Florida 20.

Yup!
2006-2013 Nebraska is 0-15 vs Top 10 teams! Facts suck! :L

Georgia Southern 26
Florida 20

As for Nebraska being 0-15 vs Top 10 teams? That is impossible. The conferences we have played in suck, and thus nobody in our conference could ever be ranked in the Top 10.

Maybe 1 or 2 teams, but 15? No fucking way. Our schedule in the Big 12 and Big 10 sucks. You and every SEC fan has told us so.

Nebraska 0-15 vs Top 10 teams.

I couldn't believe it either, 9 conference opponents ranked in the Top 10???? It must be that mid-west bias creeping into the polls!

Awesome.

I guess Nebraska sucks. Kinda been thinking that lately, but that was a paralyzing statistic.

2008 (2007 Season) Cap 1 Bowl

Michigan 41
Florida 35

(Do you remember that 2007 season? Michigan got beat by Appy State. And then they beat Timmy Tebow and Florida in their bowl game.)

So not only have you lost to an FCS team, but you have lost to a team that is ridiculed time and time again for being beat by an FCS team..., and it happened in the same year with what may well be the greatest QB that has ever donned a UF jersey.

Does that mean we can count 2 FCS losses for Florida?

For fucks sake, at least Michigan got beat by an FCS National Champ.

Florida? Did Georgia Southern even make it to the...., oh shit, they didn't even qualify to play in the FCS 24 team playoff as they were 4-4 in their conference and 7-4 overall.

Hey, I'm sure lead yellmaster Muschamp will get your shit together this year.

If not, I'm sure you'll be riding the coat tails of South Carolina, Auburn, or Alabama.

Yep, in the SEC when a team is down WE actually have other teams in our conference to carry the ball for us i.e., we have "coat tails" to ride! :yahoo:

We got 3.

Don't give much of a shit about our "brethren".

By the way, don't my LSU Tigers have 2 as opposed 1 since 1980?

Well, yea IF you use the Coaches' poll. I typically use the AP. The Coaches "gave" Nebraska the NC in 1997 also.

So I'm guessing you like the Coaches' poll more than the AP.

I'm being told I'm insecure about the Big Ten, but SEC fans and especially USC fans are jumping off of the conference homer ship like rats on a sinking boat in this thread.

South Carolina fans have never even been on the good ship Conference Homer. We don't give two scoops of rat shit what the rest of the teams in conference do, we just understand that playing in (and doing well in) this league is extremely difficult.

We also get why everyone else wants to say, "It's not so hard, why my conference, the 'fill-in-the-blank league,' is just as tough or even tougher!" Nobody wants to have their team's schedule perceived as weak.
