I do find it funny...delightfully ironic, in fact, that some of y'all accuse US of being obsessive. If we were cool, like you, we'd bookmark our page and avoid looking at SportsHoopla's main page. Obviously, we're patrolling that page, to look for anything that might offend our delicate egos as Steelers fans. Oh, brother.

BTW, I don't hate the Bengals. It's good that they're doing well this year. I'd love to see a second team from the AFC North make the playoffs...as long as it ain't the Ravens or Browns.

All I was saying is that you guys post everything under one dang thread. For a guy like me, from another board who might be interested in a Pittsburgh topic or two and want to post on the subject, I am not gonna read through 10k worth of f'n posts to try and find something relavent to my interests regarding Pittsburgh.

If you guys seperated that shit up, and had titles for the subject of your posts, then some other people may want to participate in a subject or discussion.

But who are you goign to find outside your own little ring that is goign to be interested in catching up to a 10k post thread to make a single post to add to a discussion?

Yeah, i will stay here, because at least our posters have enough common f'n sense to break subject material up into categories so posters can decide for themselves whether or not the subject material is worth posting in or peaks their interest.

All you are doing by making those ridiculous long threads is preventing inter-team debates and conversations, because no one outside the regular Pittsburgh board will even touch those crazy ass threads.

Yes, my SUBJECT MATTER was intentional to bring Steeler fans here, so their fans could "calmly" answer my question as to why EVERYTHING is lumped into one thread rather than divided up into subject matter for ease of use for other posters who may want to participate in a discussion, but not want to go through 10k of posts to find an interesting subject.

Then one of the Steeler regulars "quoted in my post before this one" went ape shit over an innocent question.

See, if I had not made a seperate thread calling it "Steelers Board" and just included my thoughts in a 10k post thread somewhere, half you or more would have never taken the time to come read and debate and obviously go ape shit over a simple question.

Geez, Crash, I was amused, not angry. And it wasn't your original post in this thread that I was reacting to. One or two of your compadres suggested that we were patrolling the main page, as if we were obsessed with what others were saying about the Steelers. That's just goofy.

I go to the main page all the time, just for gits and shiggles. I go to the "SIR, sirs..." thread because it amuses me. Sometimes I drop in on the Vikes page to say hello to a couple of friends over there. Now and then, I even drop in on the Politics Forum. What's the big deal? But some of your guys think I shouldn't click on a thread marked "Troy Polamalu" without checking to see who started it? Come on. I don't mind starting a thread every once in a while, but I am not in the habit of filling anotehr teams board with threads. It seems a bit trollish even if the subject matter is relavent.

I would have thought, if there were several subjects (currently going on with the team), especially during Bengals week, that I would be more inclined to read more of those threads and maybe chime in.

I try and leave opposing team boards pretty much the way I found them, btu I wouldn't mind seeing what opposing teams are saying about their players, upcoming game, who they need to focus on in FA, the draft, who is hurt, etc.

I treat the message boards as my way to stay up with the news without having to sort through the news to find something. I was on the Steelers website earlier today, and Tomlin is so much more personal than Lewis is not even funny. It takes 10 minutes before a reporter even gets to ask a question, because he is so open with his information. Marvin Lewis treats a simple bruise as if it were Watergate or a classified special forces op.

It was refreshing to see another coach give his press conference and be so candid.
