I still think CGI-Leah and CGI-Tarkin was 1000x better than CGI-Luke. CGI-Luke’s mouth was very badly done.

I guess every season they have to have him fight a big creature.

But, honestly, they had to know that these things existed.
What was the contingency plan? They should have been ready.
Maybe hold the ceremony a bit further inland?
Just lazy writing.
And the space battle felt forced.

Seemed like it was simply an intro show to get us back into the universe and they know how we like our big creatures and space battles.

That secondary plot line felt like it was about ten minutes longer than it needed to. It was hard to care about with what happened before and after it.
