But that de-aging tech though... that was awful.

finished watching last night.

Interesting end and I was trying to figure out the time table, which I am guessing you have all figured out already.

so this is like 9 yrs after Return of the Jedi and 15 years before Ben kills all the Jedi children, right?

I think the BoBF will be its own show, not a hijacking of the Mandalorian...
I don't think so

there are already two spinoffs announced and neither of them are BoBF

huh the article I read after finishing did not say that...but ok

so what does Mando do without a ship and a cute sidekick?
Get a new ship (or not) and go back to Mandalor as a reluctant leader and deal with the dynamic of Bo-Katan’s desire to hold the blade.

lots of potential storylines.

That is kinda hazy. I know that the Empire essentially razed it as they left post RotJ, but what does that mean? I have no idea.

If what I recall is still apart of canon, Mandalorians inhabit several planets but yes, Mandalor the planet is in bad shape but still exists. 8wrecked by both civil war and the Empire

I think its only 5 years after RotJ. The Force Awakens is like 30 years after RotJ, but I'm not sure when Ben killed the Luke's trainees. I think I read its something like 19 to 20 years after The Mandalorian when that takes place

TFA is real time after RotJ (about 35 years)

How do "years" work in this given that we determine years as a rotation around our sun?

They jump from planet to planet, system to system...

It's a galactic standard based of Coruscant, the capital. They also date stuff after the Battle of Yavin (which was the battle at the end of A New Hope) similar to how we do BC and AD. So you'll see dates like BBY (Before) and ABY (After). For a lot of details, you can read up on the wiki

Xfinity finally got around to adding Disney+ to their services.
Binged both seasons.

Loved the storytelling. Kind of had an X-Files vibe of a monster/bounty of the week episode and an overarching story to go along with it.
Casting was pretty top notch.
Anytime you can get Werner Herzog monologuing is a good thing.
Strong connection with Filoni and the cartoons.

Best fan service moments :
"I was on the Death Star!"........."Which one?"
When the bounty from S1E1 shows up again and has to deactivate the lava controls "This thing doesn't even have guard rails on it....."
Stormtrooper aim jokes.

Checked a lot of boxes for me.
So many potential spinoff possibilities.
Pretty sure I'll watch them all.

Did you catch that one of those fan-service stormtroopers was played by Jason Sudekis?

But that scene was, hands down, my favorite scene of the entire show so far.

Had no idea, but yeah, there's a lot to like with this.
