I hope they get around to introducing Grand Admiral Thrawn. The "Heir to the Empire" trilogy by Timothy Zahn was outstanding and it's a great character. They mentioned him in the episode with Ashoka.
It would be cool if they did that story, but I don't know if they could ever fit it in now.

I'd like to get a live-action Chopper.

Shows today are all really just long, serialized movies. When shows were 24 episodes per season, they were basically episodic. In today’s streaming, binge world, 24 episode seasons dont work anymore.
I see the borg has assimilated you LOL

its a money thing they could fit two or 3 seasons into one but stretch out as far as they can.
8 episodes cost a lot less than than 20. We will still come back. Now they can fit more different shows into the year.

Still. They could give us more than 8. Those fuckers. (I mean that in the nicest possible way)
Especially Disney+ Not like they have a bunch of quality shows to squeeze into the year or anything.
Hell if you are gonna only make 8. Then make them movie lengths. Episode 1 was 35 minutes.

The ending of the sequence is a bit silly unless I'm missing something. If your prisoner claims someone trapped them and put them in a mind flayer, you wouldn't leave the room. You would also suspect foul play when their mind was flayed. Or were they all in on it and I missed something?
They are all incompetent and inobservant. And I think as time goes on we'll see there's a lot of evil running the Republic.

I think the doctor in the room with Dr Pershing mentioned that he had been through the process himself, so he is basically an NPC. The Twilek talking with Kane, I think, may be in on it (??)

They can't do the actual story but they can have Thrawn pop up and take a run at taking back the galaxy. They've already alluded to Imperial warlords.

Good idea. Maybe they've all been through the process and they're just sleepwalking through life.

They already showed rich folks who barely notice the difference between the "old republic, Empire, New Republic...who can keep track". Different regimes, same fat cats.

He is from a different galaxy, and is immune to the force. He also isn’t pure-evil like Palpatine (or other Sith). There is a LOT they can do with him.

Did you read the Heir to the Empire Trilogy? It's outstanding and Thrawn is the reason. I really wish they would have made those 3 books into movies rather than the time line they decided to go with

I read it like 30 years ago. I remember it was good, but I dont remember any specifics. I watched Rebels and have read many character descriptions of him, though.

Yeah, as long as there is least one other person in on it then it works. It is a deeply cynical take on things, though. Maybe necessary for the upcoming plot.

Episode 4 will be directed by Carl Weathers, so it definitely should be better.

Episode 3 was the worst Mando episode ever.
If you are saying it was a bad episode, I wholly disagree.

If you are saying Mando is such a solid show that even a solid episode like that qualifies as its worst installment, I agree with the sentiment, if not the specifics.

I agree with the second part. I know you need episodes like that to make for stronger episodes later.

That Mandalorian cult sure does suck at planning. Live on a planet with a bunch of dinosaurs and they just openly train on the beach with no defenses despite constantly getting attacked by dinosaurs

They must have some intricate circuitry to operate all their Mandalorian gizmos, but nobody invested in some motion sensors????

Also, 'This is the way.....' is an easy way to get out of any uncomfortable conversation.
