Seriously?!? C'mon man!! He had those open jumpers because that is the weakest part of his game!! The Spurs knew that they had to give him something, so they gave him the weakest part of his game, were willing to live with the results and it almost worked!! In the 4th quarter of game 6 and all of game 7 he hit those shots!! Just give him the credit for hitting the shots and move on!!
I did give him credit, but they were all wide open shots. I mean wide open, as in camped out there at the 3, no one guarding him. You can't do that to any decent Nba player. I understand the strategy to lay off and make him hit jumpers, but not that wide open...
Just Youtube his shots and you'll see how wide open they were. Half the time Leonard was 5 feet away from him with his back turned looking to see if he had help...
