If this was opening day we could be a little concerned, but now? Nah...
Tzill channeling his inner NolanNonsense?

CarGo just singled in two more in the second. 5-1 Rox. Timmy must be "working on things."
Clearly losing focus out there. He's mentally weak.
From Eric Karabell, who chose 10 players over thirty-five with the best chance of rebounding this year. Huff made the list:
Aubrey Huff, 1B/OF, San Francisco Giants: Everyone says he's in great shape in March, of course, but I'm kind of buying what Huff is selling, to a degree. He credits offseason Pilates for his resurrection. I've seen a few of his spring at-bats, and a return to 2010's 20 homers and 80 RBIs seems realistic.
It's a little disconcerting to me that Barry Zito's fastball wouldn't even get pulled over on I-280.
This.
For the guys with locked spots, I could give a shit how they do at this point. They SHOULD have VERY specific tasks in mind to accomplish, and putting good stats should NOT be on that task list.
Hey, did you guys know that Zito was recently married? Seriously. On a more humorous note, apparently he walked his future wife down the aisle on 4 straight curveballs ...
Panik looked like the real deal. Fought off some tough 0-2 pitches then smoked a triple. Went the other way for a single in his first ab. Both hits against lefties.
Panik 3-3 so far... doesn't mean shit but he is one guy I am hoping will pan out so I'll take it!
Melky looking good so far... so is Pill he keeps it up it's gonna be hard to keep him off the roster... Hector doing his best too... Zito doing his best too? Unicorn!
It's spring training, it don't mean shit. If you doubt, look at spring stats for El-gordo Al-Fatso, or Eliezer Alfonzo's, or Todd Linden's, or so many other former Giants red-hot springs.
Heck, look at Huff's stats just last year : .369/.391/.692/1.084
Man did HE have a great season last year or what!

That is in fact why I said, and I quote, ahem... "Panik 3-3 so far... doesn't mean shit but he is one guy I am hoping will pan out so I'll take it!" And so it was said and so it was done.
And like gp said just first impressions. Although my take on Zito is the final word - he's just looking great with his 2 runs 4 hits in 2 innings, just where he left off last year. Oh I can hardly wait for the 5th day of the rotation when we get to endure the former greatness. Hold onto your hats boys! I feel an 81 mph heater coming!
