I unlike you, have never said we didn't. You , like most USC fans, claim that you have NEVER played an FCS opponent, which implies you have NEVER played a lesser opponent which is disingenuous at best. The number and location of most FCS opponents likely has more to do with this than any altruism on your part.

Alabama regularly has a tougher schedule than USC, and this coming year is no exception even with a FCS team on it.

In fact, for next year since you wanted to bring it up as being weak for Alabama: Alabama is currently rated as having the hardest schedule in college football.
