I am thinking about changing my vote, but I still haven't seen enough of a reason.

Don't just throw stats at me. If I opened a history book on Alabama football and a history book on USC football, why would Alabama's history book be more exciting to read?

Harvey Updyke, LSU fans at Krystals, The Bear wrestling a bear, the Iron Bowl, desegregation, toilet paper and washing powders, drunk rednecks.......If you want to go to an nba game, go to LA. If you want to go to a college football game, go to Tuscaloosa.

Depends on what you think of as exciting.

I tell you what. To answer who is the most storied, you should ask yourself a series of questions for each team.

1. Does said Team have a lot of titles?
2. Does said Team have a lot of wins?
3. Does said Team have a national/international fanbase?
4. Does said Team have a consistent history?
5. Does said Team have a national brand? (Roll Tide, Boomer Sooner, Touchdown Jesus, Hook'em, stuff that literally every college football fan recognizes when they hear it)

And then questions like

6. Did said Team have an impact on the game of college football and how its played today?
7. How did said Team get their name?
8. How did said Team get their mascot?
9. How and when did said Team become a powerhouse?
10. What are some of the best legends in said Team's history? (Stories in general, whether true or not)

Compile those answers in an essay format and see who has the most interesting story.

Well when you're done reading those books you'll ask yourself, self, "WHY DIDNT USC DO MORE WITH WHAT THEY HAD"??? They were in a ONE TEAM CONFERENCE.

The USC Coach drives by more 5 Star Talent on his way to work than is in the entire state of Alabama.

Texas lost to Oklahoma
Ohio State lost to Nebraska
So in their minds it's some kind of payback thing when the choice is obvious.
Small minds. Like little kids
Says the guy that go so butthurt at Ohio State leading Nebraska that you had to go to their board and make a thread to tell them to vote over here.

Alabama gets my vote.

USC has the cheerleaders. But their fanbase is not there through thick and thin. For me passionate fans count, and Alabama has Michelle Pritchett.

When Bama Mom Meets Miley Cyrus, Magic Happens

Have you ever been to USC? Once you leave campus, you are in a war zone. It is scary just driving there.

Gotta admit, I would have had no problem if the Sooner would have Ray Riced that C U Next Tuesday and knocked her unconscience.....

I think Bamabino is secretly a Trojan fan because even he should realize a post like this is going to cause some folks on the fence to vote for USC. I was originally looking at this as a toss-up for my vote (I was one of those on the fence), but Bamabino's post convinced me to vote for USC.

Right now the poll stands 20 to 13 in favor of USC. Methinks the hard lobbying by Alabama fans in this thread is working the opposite effect, and causing folks to vote for USC. You Crimson Tide loyalists probably should have bitten your tongues and let the vote play out.

:thumb:

The vote was 11-4 in favor of USC when I made the post. 24-21 now. How's that foot taste? Leave it in, it's an improvement.

You realize a Nebraska fan already started a thread on our board about it before he did ? . It's not like we wouldn't have noticed and voted anyways so your point is moot

I voted for Bama, but then I looked at the vote of the OSU-Nebraska thread.

And then what...you got butthurt because people actually voted for a team that won 5 national championships between your last two, while you guys were busy enhancing the reputation of the SEC.
