All of Wisconsin's wins are at least by 9 points, including 4 shutouts and decisive wins over Michigan and Michigan State.
Oklahoma has had the same success in beating their opponents but have only beaten 1 top team, Texas, and they struggled against them. Sorry, not hard to see why Wisconsin SHOULD be above Oklahoma.

Raw stat rankings have them about even. The poll shows it. It would be a helluva matchup. #1 D vs #1 O. On the flip side Oklahoma is at #41 in Def yards/game and Wisconsin is at #37 in Off yards/game.

I don't think there's any argument that Oklahoma vs. Wisconsin wouldn't be a good match. But Wisconsin's defense and their domination over all of their opponents kinda speak louder than Oklahoma.

Badgers and Solners should both be ahead of Bama and Clemson . Theres even a less strong argument to have Penn St ahead of those 2.

TBH, I always rank Oklahoma a little lower than I really see them because Oklahoma fans seem to take this poll the most serious of any fan base

I don't think there is much separation in the top 6-7 teams and you can justify any way you order them. It's probably too much work, but it would be interesting to see if there are any significant deviations in how people are voting at the top.

Besides, it will take care of itself in a few weeks.
