You need to start tossing BSU in there at even #25.
LOL you might want to give my ballot a 2nd look

Holy cripes, my bad....I just never look that far up on the polls for them.LOL you might want to give my ballot a 2nd look

That's absolutely correct
No team other than those w have won it all since 2014, until one of those w lose they're in the top 2. It's been long enough that I'm entirely convinced that in spite of some struggles they'll still end up playing for it all
Maybe I'm wrong, but I won't be convinced I'm wrong until they actually lose
Eh, a win is a win. Not every week is going to be a good week. And it's conference play. 3 to 4 spot drop for a team like Clemson is a bit excessive / knee jerk.
2018 Clemson isn't playing this year. Every year, every week a team has to prove out. IMO
I mostly agree with this, but two Natty's the past 4 years and their only playoff losses have been to Alabama
This much dominance this long means someone else has to step up and beat them before I can change my top two
The rest of college football are a bunch of also-rans until then
Also running... you are judging by 2 different standards
Yes I am judging by 2 different standards, Alabama and Clemson have earned that special standard with their absolute dominance of college football until someone proves they can actually beat them
They were dominant in the past years. Clemson was not dominant this past weekend. The poll is fof the 2019 season.
Clemson's been not dominant before, in fact one year they weren't dominant and still won the natty.
Every team will have their struggles, Clemson was just the first. I'm not convinced that it won't be Alabama or Clemson again until someone else steps up and beats them on the field

Yes and no. Clemson still have many key players from 2018, which means that they have proven to have the talent and coach to win a Natty.
However, I did punish them for their performance. You have 5+ teams that have shown no struggles or overcame victories over To 15 teams. UNC is not Top 30 at this point.
Thats the inherent problem with any poll before about week 8. Early polls have to be both because there's not enough info to just base a poll in this year as we have no idea what is a good win , a good loss or vice versa .Is this poll meant as a predictor to who will win the Natty or as a measure of success for games played this season so far?

That's the quagmire. For some yes, for some no. I think you see this as an issue in every poll including the 2 public ones.until about week 11.Is this poll meant as a predictor to who will win the Natty or as a measure of success for games played this season so far?
Regardless of Week taken, a poll is simply a compilation of opinions not a fact driven result (like conference standings). First week and last week are equally opinionated. At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong answer.Thats the inherent problem with any poll before about week 8. Sure. Which is why a poll to determine teams that compete for a title is preposterous . Just take the 5 P5 champs , the highest ranked G5 and 2 at large teams. CFB always has to complicate shit that doesn't need to be complicatedRegardless of Week taken, a poll is simply a compilation of opinions not a fact driven result (like conference standings).
