Washington is housing teams. And frankly I don't think Nebraska or Baylor would keep it all that close against UW. WVU might be able to give them a game.

They housed Arizona? I mean West Virginia has only had 2 close games and housed Texas Tech and TCU. Yet, one is 4 and one isn't top 10. I think by the end of the year you may be correct. I just don't think the current data supports your rankings. You can't lose games by 40, have 2 losses, and be top 10 over undefeated teams. It just doesn't make sense. You are projecting.

No they didn't house Arizona. But they have been far more impressive than WVU has. And I'm am projecting a little bit and at the same time going off resume. There's been nothing that WVU, Nebraska or Baylor has done for me to believe they are better than those 2 loss teams. They are just fortunate they haven't played a team worth a damn yet.

If Nebraska beats Wisconsin, they'll jump right up in my top 5, because they will have shown me they would be worthy. My guess is they won't. Same for WVU/Baylor.

So again, who has Washington beat to be in your top 5 using that logic? They've played nobody good and barely beat Arizona. Everybody else has to prove it, but Washington gets a pass?

Best team Florida has played this year is Tennessee who is also not ranked in my poll

and Florida lost by 17 points

They lost by 10 on the road to Tennessee and have looked completely dominant on defense in every other game. I agree they haven't played a tough schedule, but I can point out others in your poll who haven't either. Or just point out you ranked Northwestern. Illinois St. dude and 3 losses...

I'll throw teams a bone with the last two spots usually.

Two votes and one won't make much of a difference.

Northwestern has made an amazing turnaround though, the Illinois State loss seems like more of a fluke. I probably should have given that spot to Tennessee though. Oh well

Washington doesn't get a pass. They've looked more impressive. Not sure what you don't get?

Washington MOV = 35.
WVU MOV = 15.

Beating similar schedules(I'll admit WVU's has been slightly tougher) by almost a 3 TD difference is the reason why I have those teams where they are.

I added Penn St to my top25 because of Big10 bias and to make sure Ohio St's loss was against a ranked team.

am I doing it right? I'm new to this blaming bias thing

That is reason to rank them higher and why I have them higher in my poll and everybody else does too. I've got no problem with them being top 4. They deserve that spot, but you are punishing the other undefeated teams with logic that you aren't using against Washington. That is my point.

Not gonna lie, it's getting hard to keep up with. I admit I have UNC higher, mostly because I forgot about that head to head.

It's tough I tried to keep track of them all

on 2nd though I should have put Virginia Tech ahead of North Carolina, that's one I definitely missed

at least I had Florida State behind North Carolina that's one a lot of folks missed

I really only play the head to head game when I have them close in my rankings. I've got Florida St pretty comfortably ahead of UNC in my rankings. If it gets closer, I will try to make sure UNC is on top. VT should have been higher than UNC in mine though. They are only a couple spots apart.

Nebraska needed Oregon to miss out on three two point conversions in order to beat the Ducks in Lincoln. Washington beat that same Oregon team at Autzen by a score of 70 - 21. WVU ... Baylor ..have yet to face a defense like Washington's.
I'm actually pulling for the Huskies as I'm a Peterson fan. But, you can't use that transitive property to an extreme. If so, then Washington isn't even in Michigan's league if you compare the Rutgers scores. And those Oregon wins by both and the Stanford win by Washington aren't turning out to be all that good. Both of 'em aren't as good as their reputation led everyone to believe at the beginning of the year.

That said, I do think Washington will prove to be pretty damnd good by the end of the season..they just haven't really had the opportunity to do it yet thanks to both a bad OOC and their early PAC opponents fizzling.

So Wisconsin loses two straight and stays in the top 10, then gets a convincing quality road win and drops. Ok
Don't think it has anything to do with Wisky. I think it says more about how people feel about Iowa.

I kind of though Florida State belongs more in North Carolina range, lots of folks have forgetten the utter destruction they received from Louisville, and they lost at home to North Carolina. Florida State doesn't have much for wins either, their best win is the same as North Carolina's 2nd best win, which is over Miami.

I think the reason that I had Virginia Tech lower is because when they did lose, their losses were complete eggs. Getting blown out on a neutral site by a Tennessee team that isn't too good(though Virginia Tech fumbles hurt them) and then losing to Syracuse
